Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer Phantom crashed on second friday due to welcome back's release
Day 8:
0.95 Crore Trade Figure
Total Till date:
47.68 Crore Trade Figure
47.4 Crore Producer Figure for 7 days
It has crashed more than 70% from its first thursday.
First week Box Office Collections of Phantom are 8th Highest of 2015 behind Bajrangi Bhaijaan, brothers, ABCD 2, Tanu Weds Manu returns,Gababr is Back and Baby.
Phantom will be effected by Welcome back in its second week and it will be second week which will decide where it ends but it will most likely loose money for the makers.
Overseas:
$1.48 Million
Screens:
2600 Pan India
On wednesday Phantom went down by close to 15% compared to tuesday and after a 18% fall on Tuesday and this is after the Monday which was 50% down from Friday..
Phantom is struggling and is only doing decent business due to metros and multiplexes it seems Phantom is headed for a Brothers kind of situation again good initial but struggle to hold that initial.
First week seems set to finish lower than even Baby and likely to be 8th highest of 2015
Weekdays were very important for phantom as collections on weekdays are what will ensure whether it gets any screens for week 2 when welcome back releases
However so far weekdays are seeing constant drop and it doesn't seem to be holding up
Mass areas are seeing big drops day wise as Phantom was doing well in mass areas only due to holiday effect over the weekend.
Phantom seems to have been unable to attract the youth and mass crowd at all and only got them initially due to holiday effect.
Phantom only has 1 week before welcome back hits the screens which might effect its screens.
Overall for Saif Phantom is still much better than his previous movies but the movie is likely to struggle at the box officeconsidering the cost and scale
Phantom Budget:
Total Budget is 70 Crores
Production Cost: 55 Crore and prints and advertising cost 15 Crore
Phantom was planned three years ago when Saif was a bankable star and satellite market was good and used to give 25 crore for any decent movie now it will have to struggle as it will not get too much from Satellite rights and will have to depend on Theatrical avenues to recover its cost.
